Undergraduates and graduate students in the Four Eyes Lab,

SpaceX has been in touch with the COE regarding software engineering interns on their Enterprise Information Systems team. (See the email below.) The College is asking for some recommendations from faculty for outstanding applicants – and ASAP. I think they’re going to choose one to recommend to SpaceX.

The link states that the applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents “or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.” I’m not sure what the last phrase means, but I assume only US citizens or permanent residents will be considered.

If it sounds interesting and you think you’d be a very strong candidate, please send your CV to me and CC Nicole McCoy (nicolem at cs.ucsb.edu <mailto:nicolem at cs.ucsb.edu> ) *today*.

Thanks,
                Matthew

Hi Matthew,

Thank you for helping! The intended audience is both undergrad and graduate students. Resumes to Ashley by noon on Friday. I have already sent emails to the CS students, but I was hoping you could share this with a few outstanding students. Can you have them tell me you referred them as well? So I can separate their reumes from the rest?

Thank you,
Ashley

If interested, please send resumes to me by Friday 11/3 at noon. No exceptions.

SpaceX is hiring full stack software engineer interns for the Enterprise Software Team: http://www.spacex.com/careers/position/210789

ENTERPRISE INFORMATION SYSTEMS: The EIS (Enterprise Information Systems) team writes the software that builds rockets and powers SpaceX. They are responsible for all of the software on the factory floor, the warehouses, the financial systems, the restaurant, and even the public home page. Elon has called them the "nervous system" of SpaceX because they connect all of the other teams at SpaceX to ensure that the entire rocket building process runs smoothly

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,
Ashley
