Subject: Faculty Position in Graphics

Hello friends and colleagues.

I am writing to raise interest in a tenure-track appointment at Clemson University for Fall 2017 that is currently still open. Please help me spread the word about this exciting opportunity.

Specifically, Clemson's School of Computing is in search of a ladder-rank faculty with a concentration in Computer Graphics, Computer Vision, Visualization, and/or related fields (including planning/agents, robotics, 3D printing, and computational fabrication.) The position is targeted at the assistant-professor level, but excellent candidates at all levels will be considered.

The School has a vibrant and growing group in Graphics under its Visual Computing (VC) division that is currently seven faculty strong. We are looking for a great fit to increase our research caliber, and help us during this stage of rapid growth in CS here at Clemson. Along with current VC faculty's focus, our Human Centered Computing Division also includes investigators with VR/AR and Video Games research.

Further, the VC division is the home of a unique Digital Production Arts (DPA) program which fosters graduate education in digital media and entertainment within a studio-like setting. As such, it boasts a rich and diverse set of facilities and equipment related to such, e.g. motion capture, green screen, render farm, etc. and strong ties to the related industry.

Feel free to send questions or suggestions to me, and/or forward the following application link to potential candidates if you are so inclined: http://www.clemson.edu/cecas/departments/computing/connect/tenuretrack2016.html

Thank you for helping me spread the word.

Kind regards,

vbZ

Victor B. Zordan, Ph.D.

Director, Digital Production Arts

Professor, School of Computing

Clemson University
