Google Seattle is hiring research interns; if you are a computer vision
researcher and excited about working on computational photography, virtual
reality, and/or image understanding, read on!

We're pushing the limits of what's possible with computer vision technology
in research and products. We encourage publication at top conferences and
build innovative new products (Jump

and Ceres <http://ceres-solver.org/> are just some of the features where
our interns played a key role).

Our research efforts at Google Seattle span two groups; the first is
focused on the Google VR effort

and the second on computational photography and image understanding.
Researchers in the VR and Imaging groups include, among others, Sameer
Agarwal, Rob Anderson, Dave Gallup, Dan Goldman, Carlos Hernandez, Jason
Lawrence, Steve Seitz, Changchang Wu, Aseem Agarwala, Matthew Brown, David
Lowe, Lior Shapira, Raviteja Vemulapalli, and Li Zhang.

The office is perfectly located, right on the water and in the center of
Seattle's fabulous Fremont district (http://goo.gl/8qLam,
https://goo.gl/maps/2VMTU8TPGyx), with a zillion hip restaurants and cafes
nearby. That is, if you actually feel like paying for your meals (hard to
resist Google's free gourmet breakfasts, lunch, and dinners)!

If you know of good candidates, please forward this application, and if
this sounds interesting to you, please apply! It's best to apply ASAP, as
internship decisions are made on a rolling basis.

Application instructions:

1. Go to this web page g.co/phdintern and apply for the Software
Engineering Intern, PhD, Summer 2017 position.

2. If the technical interviews go well and you proceed to the project
matching stage, you'll receive a Candidate Profile Questionnaire to fill
out. On this questionnaire, please be sure to specify SEATTLE/KIRKLAND as
your #1 location preference, list COMPUTER VISION as both your "expertise
disciplines" and "preferred disciplines" and list "Dan Goldman” as Googler
References. Finally, email dgo at google.com to let us know. This will make
sure it gets routed to us.

We’ll give priority to applications that come in by Dec. 31.

All the best,

Google Research Seattle
