[4eyes] PTC visit next Thursday 11/17

A few people from PTC/Vuforia (www.vuforia.com <http://www.vuforia.com> ),
including former PhD student Steffen Gauglitz, will visit the lab next
Thursday. If you are involved in AR or VR work, it's likely we'll be asking
you to discuss your research with them. There may be a presentation of some
sort, though not sure yet about that.

 

PTC is an important company in AR (and IoT and related areas), and we want
to continue building a strong relationship with them. For people looking for
research projects, there may be an opportunity to brainstorm with them about
areas of mutual interest that can translate to interesting short- or
medium-term projects. And although this is not a recruiting trip, they're
interested in hiring people with Four Eyes-like backgrounds. 

 

Just a heads-up for now - I'll provide an update once the schedule gets
nailed down.
