For those who don't know, Sketchfab is a pretty cool (and free) online
viewer for 3D data including point clouds, meshes, and objects. It supports
a wide range of file types and I've personally found it really easy to use.
They've recently added automatic compatibility with Google Cardboard so
that you can view *any* 3D model on their site in VR with no extra work.
This could be awesome for the lab to use for quick demos (as opposed to
firing up the allosphere!), but also speaks yet again to the massive
interest and efforts to make VR mainstream and usable. Pretty exciting
stuff!
