"We have released a dataset of more than 10,000 dedicated 3D scans of real
objects. The scans were produced "in the wild" by 70 paid operators who
scanned a wide variety of objects: from shoes, mugs, and toys to grand
pianos, construction vehicles, and large outdoor sculptures. We worked with
an attorney to place all the data in the public domain. The technical
report is now on arXiv (http://arxiv.org/abs/1602.02481) and the dataset is
freely available at http://redwood-data.org/3dscan."
