Hi,

I saw this post on Google+ by Brad Short about HP's new immersive computing
interface. Please see the post below. I think this would be a great fit for
our lab -- we should look into it more!

=====================================================

HP announced in NYC our new immersive computing platform called Sprout by
HP, a product that is ideally suited for CV research and development. I'm
looking to seed Sprouts to interested and relevant University labs for
students to learn and help develop apps and study novel UI and human
computer interactions with new "Blended-Reality" use cases.

Sprout is the first step in delivering a mainstream product with advanced
sensors and an interactive projected display creating a closed-loop Pro-Cam
configuration to enable many CV use cases like direct/indirect AR, object
detection, object recognition, and object classification -- both in 2D and
3D. The possibilities are limited only by the imagination, and we are
hoping student creativity and ingenuity will help unleash novel use cases
beyond even what we've envisioned.

Please spread the word to colleagues that may be interested in setting up
Sprout Labs.

Product info and videos can found on the Sprout website:
