My advisor from undergrad has been working on a startup called Arqball that
aims at capturing 3D models with an iPhone or iPad, and creating a simple
interactive way for users to navigate, edit, and publish these models.
They've gotten a decent amount of press recently, so I figured I would
bring attention to the lab members in case anybody wanted to use this
technology for their research. The app to capture these models is free, but
the rotating stage they use to capture the best images/models not -- you
could use any stage or form of rotating you want, but it works best with
their stage
