Senior Research Engineer
Develop prototype hardware and software for data collection systems using
multiple sensors - GPS, cameras, LiDAR. Software development of tools for
processing analyzing data from these systems. Analyze multiple data streams
from mobile mapping vehicles. Technical assessment of performance of these
systems. Plan and execute research projects with minimal guidance.
Documenting results from a variety of research experiments.
Senior Research Scientist
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in this space while also leading several 3D
and Visual development team members in the creation and deployment of
advanced 3D and Visual products, editing tools, and advanced software
prototypes. Responsible for participating in all stages of software
development including analyzing, designing, programming, debugging, and
modifying software enhancements and/or new products for internal or customer
applications. Using current programming language and technologies, write
code, complete programming, and perform testing and debugging of
applications. Complete documentation and procedures for installation and
maintenance. Interact with users to define system requirements and/or
necessary modifications and assist with systems integration.
Research Internships
Current graduate students are welcome to apply for one of our research
internships. Positions can be for the summer only, or extend into the
academic year. This is a great opportunity to enhance your experience by
working with large-scale real world data. Projects can typically be
tailored to meet your background and current research activities.
