We are pleased to announce a unique opportunity with Honeywell's Automation
and Control Solutions (ACS) Lab in biometrics and computer vision, an
exciting environment focused on cutting-edge technology developments for
both government and industry applications.   This position is located in
Minneapolis, Minnesota.

We are seeking a Research Scientist, - Computer Vision with expertise in
design and development of solutions for video analysis, people tracking and
behavior analysis, and face and iris detection in complex environments. 

As a top candidate, you will be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding
of the state-of-the-art methodologies and practices in related fields, a
good track record in executing projects in the computer vision area. You
will demonstrate a thorough understanding of the state-of-the-art
methodologies and practices in related fields and technical contributions to
the video analysis and biometrics community. 
Successful candidates will be joining a team of scientists with substantial
achievements in standoff biometrics. Candidates will be working in and
leading research teams, interacting with customers for defining new research
agenda and initiatives in computer vision, writing proposals, winning
government contracts, designing and implementing software solutions, and
publishing research results in prestigious journals and conferences. 
You will also have a thorough understanding of the state-of-the-art
methodologies and in depth knowledge of research literature in computer
vision. As a global organization, Honeywell's culture requires strong
communications skills in a high matrix environment.

Qualifications

 

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

- M.S. in Computer Science or related field.

- 3 years of experience in the fields of image analysis, computer vision
and/or biometrics.

- 3 years development experience with MS Visual Studio, C, C++, and MATLAB
or similar tools.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

 - Excellent video algorithm development and strong software engineering
skills.

 - Proven innovation and reduction to practice of algorithms for solving
practical problems.

- U.S. citizenship or Permanent resident status is preferred.
