Have you ever thought of becoming a K-12 teacher?

Then join *CalTeach -- *a UC system-side program to recruit, support and 
prepare exceptional K-12 teachers!**

CalTeach (https://education.ucsb.edu/calteach) is an interdisciplinary 
program that teaches you how to teach mathematics and science. It offers 
a Minor in Science and Mathematics Education:one track is forprospective 
elementary school teachers and one track is forprospective secondary 
school teachers.

The following courses are being offered in Winter 2016 and fulfill 
Science and Mathematics Education Minor requirements:

(1)ED 128 CalTeach 1 Introduction to Teaching Math Grades 1-8 
(elementary track)

(2)ED 129 CalTeach 1 Introduction to Teaching ScienceGrades 1-8 
(elementary track)

(3)ED 130 CalTeach 2 Introduction to Teaching Math Grades 7-12 
(secondary track)

(4)ED 131 CalTeach 2 Introduction to Teaching ScienceGrades 
7-12(secondary track)**

(5)ED 132/197-02 Explorations in Teaching Math and Science to English 
Language Learners(taught by Arya, both tracks)

*The first four of the above courses also fulfill requirements for the 
more general Education Minor.*
