Opportunities during Spring, Summer, Fall, and January

Weiss Asset Management is seeking intelligent and self-motivated 
students to work in an intellectually stimulating, fast-paced, startup 
environment. This is not a routine 9-5 programming job -- it is an 
opportunity to have a significant impact through innovation and 
dedication. The responsibilities of a software developer at Weiss 
include building, improving and implementing programs to manage the 
firm's automated trading, live data feeds, model development, real-time 
analytics and investment screening using primarily C#, Python, SQL 
Server, and Excel/VBA. Use of other tools is also encouraged as Weiss 
values and relies on creative problem solving throughout the firm.

*Technical Requirements: *

·Undergraduate or advanced training in Computer Science

·Interest in a broad range of development and technical areas

·Startup or professional software development experience

·Past experience or interest in finance/investing recommended

*Personal Qualifications: *

·Strong aptitude for problem-solving and idea-generation

·Comfortable asking questions and challenging ideas in an open forum

·Able to work both independently as well as in groups without close 
supervision

·Detail-oriented

·Intellectually curious -- eager to learn and acquire new skills, both 
technically and otherwise

·Ability to multi-task; flexibility in managing both simple tasks and 
highly complex problems

·Proven track record of building value-adding programs from the ground up

Positions are available part-time (20 hours/week) in the spring, as well 
as full-time during the summer. Interns are compensated with a 
competitive salary as well as company perks. High-performing interns are
