You need to be 100% sure that you’ll have what you need, so if you’re relying on anything not directly under your control (a monitor, a projector, a computer, etc.) please let us know ASAP.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoListParagraph style='text-indent:-.25in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1'><![if !supportLists]><span style='mso-list:Ignore'>-<span style='font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"'> </span></span><![endif]>Keep in mind that there will be possibly hundreds of people milling around. Some will walk by and look at what you have (and keep walking), some will stop for a few or 30 seconds, and some will engage you in discussion for several minutes. Also, most will know little about your area of expertise, while some might know a good deal. Bottom line, you need to be flexible in how you communicate your work – for some, it’s a very general 30-second elevator pitch (with more details only if they ask), for others it’s a detailed technical presentation/discussion, and everything in between. So please be sure you can adapt appropriately to the audience.
