<div dir="ltr"><div>Dear 4-Eyes,<br></div><div><br></div><div>I discussed with John O'Donovan about the usefulness of R, and my attempt trying to learn it. We think it might be useful to share with the lab some of the links below.</div>
<div><br></div><div>As John mentioned before, there are a lot of YouTube videos teaching you how to do anything in R. I would like to add that there is also an online course on Lynda.com where you can access for free (and without ads). UCSB has already paid for the subscription for us! </div>
<div><br></div><div>Here's how: </div><div><br></div><div>Log in to Lynda here using your UCSB net ID</div><a href="https://it.ucsb.edu/services/lynda">https://it.ucsb.edu/services/lynda</a><br><div><br></div><div>And this is the tutorial I found: </div>

</div><div class="gmail_extra"><br></div><div class="gmail_extra">Every video is transcribed. So you can search for what you want to learn (e.g. I searched for "scatterplot matrix" on Google and I found this tutorial.) You can also watch it at 150%, or 200% if you are a fast learner. It's a nice way to get something done without having to spend time on the whole course, or to search for the right video on YouTube (I ran into some bad ones, with ads.)</div>
<div class="gmail_extra"><br></div><div class="gmail_extra">Besides R, there are other courses, too ... apparently including one on "Santa Barbara Film Festival". </div><div class="gmail_extra"><br></div><div class="gmail_extra">
