Our newest visitor from Finland – Jussi Okkonen from Tampere – will give a presentation on a couple of their projects that are relevant to the lab, and on which they’re looking for collaboration possibilities:<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Dr. Jussi Okkonen works as a Line Manager at TAUCHI (<a href="http://www.uta.fi/sis/tauchi/">http://www.uta.fi/sis/tauchi/</a>) at University of Tampere, Finland. His current research areas are educational technology, especially in natural sciences and math, and cognitive ergonomics, especially information ergonomics in knowledge work. He’ll discuss their project on Active Learning Spaces (<a href="http://www.uta.fi/sis/aktiivitilat/eng.html">http://www.uta.fi/sis/aktiivitilat/eng.html</a>) and SAVI/FUN (<a href="http://www.innovationsforlearning.net">http://www.innovationsforlearning.net</a>). <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Let’s have it on Friday at 2:00pm, unless people will be out because of Thursday’s holiday.
