<p>Tobias mentioned that the lab would be getting Google Glass. There could be some interesting ways to combine the two systems, or at least using data gathered from the Trekker for a project using Glass. That might interest Google and help with the application for a Trekker.</p>

I'd like to use it to map several areas that are not often covered: beaches, hiking trails, and other interesting places (the courthouse and/or the mission?). <!-- o ignored --></p>

For instance, somebody in Kansas could walk the <a href="http://www.santabarbaraview.com/one-thousand-steps-beach/">Thousand Steps</a> remotely. Or scientists could use this data for geography, monitoring the tides, corrosion on mountains and cliffs, etc. Lots of neat stuff!<!-- o ignored --></p>
