Hi everyone,<div><br></div><div>For this Friday I thought we could look at this (very short) book called "How to Run a Paper Mill" by John Woodwark (attached).  I understand if you don't have time to read all of it, although it is pretty humorous and fun to read.  It is a guide to "running a paper mill" i.e. publishing lots of papers.  I think the advice is a bit over the top, but we can figure out together what is reasonable and what is not.  I would suggest reading at least chapters 3, 4, and 5.    Chapter 4 is the most controversial I would say :)</div>
<div><br></div><div>I also attached an article about how to improve your technical writing.  I don't agree with everything in there but I think most of it is good to keep in mind when writing.</div><div><br></div><div>
