Hi everyone,

Here's the plan for today's ML discussion group meeting:

1. Have a low-level, nuts-and-bolts discussion about good practices and
answering noobie questions in machine learning, including discussing
questions such as :

   - What ML frameworks (Tensorflow or Pytorch) does everyone use?
   - Are there good tutorials people have used to learn these frameworks?
What is a good set of "homework assignments" that people should do in order
to be ready to do research using these ML tools?
   - Where does everyone run their experiments? What systems have they
found to work well or not well? What systems are available to us on campus?
   - In our group, people often embed ML into an existing system, such as a
renderer. How do people interface between the learning components and the
other systems? What are some good working practices for this?
   - Has anyone used the C++ binding for PyTorch? Thoughts and comments?
   - Good initialization and optimizer strategies
   - Other noobie questions (please bring your own questions so that we
   can do a group Q/A)

2. If there is time, I will present some ideas we've been exploring with
Jedrzej on visualizing the training process of neural networks.

3. Anything else?

See you all there in about 20 minutes.

Best,

-Pradeep
