Hi everyone -

Tomorrow (Friday Apr 5), we'll have the (hopefully last) batch of
visiting prospective Ph.D. students. I hope that many of you are around.
We will have a lab lunch like the other times we had prospective
students visiting. Brandon is taking the lead on this - thanks so much!
Please coordinate with him on it (let him know if you will be there -
5th floor HFH lab at noon).

- One student (Tara Ramanan) will be here for sure. She worked for
Microsoft and is currently consulting with Facebook, but leaning towards
doing a Ph.D. She has a MS from Georgia Tech.

- The second student, Noah Stier, is currently local, working for Toyon.
He has a BS from UCLA with experience in bio and neuroscience and
shifted more to CS in his work for Toyon. He may be able to come visit
tomorrow, which would be great for efficiency reasons, but otherwise
would come by next week.

- The third student, Zoe Rathbun (admitted PhD student in Psychology, w.
Mary Hegarty, with an interest in VR/AR and Learning)

- Finally, Julia Doerner is a MS student from Munich, Germany, who just
started working with me and the FourEyes lab. She'll be working on
tangible interfaces (plastic spheres) in VR.  She is already here and
will join tomorrow.

We have an ACM UIST deadline tomorrow, but hopefully I can still be an
integral part of the visit day activities. Thanks everyone for helping!

Cheers,

     Tobias
