Dear friends and colleagues,

We would like to invite you to a Four Eyes Lab & Mirage Lab Open House at
UCSB tomorrow, June 1, from 5:00 to 8:00pm. We will be presenting and/or
demoing several of our current and recent research projects – a list is
below.

The open house will be held in concert with the End of the Year Show for the
Media Arts and Technology Graduate Program (http://show.mat.ucsb.edu/). Both
will take place in Elings Hall (the CNSI building) at UCSB – there will be a
lot to see, including tours of the AlloSphere
(http://www.allosphere.ucsb.edu/). The Four Eyes Lab and Mirage Lab activity
will be up on the third floor of Elings, but there will be interesting
things see on all three floors.

Research projects on display at the open house include:
· ARBis Pictus: Language Learning in Augmented Reality
· Scalable Laplacian Eigenfluids
· Learning based approach for photometric stereo
· Deepano: an art piece featuring generative depth for panoramic
images
· The Stardust GPU-based Visualization Library
· Detection of moving and static objects in moving Lidar point
clouds
· Visual Question Generation or cricket highlight detection
· Gaze estimation for 3D spaces using an uncalibrated setup
· Similarity Networks for Visual Object Classification
· Structure from Motion Point Cloud Registration

We hope to see many of you there. Please feel free to forward this to
friends or colleagues who might be interested.
