Annual HVAC and Electrical maintenance is scheduled for May 17 through 22.  Please take all necessary precautions to ensure your work does not create an unsafe condition during the affected time periods.  Please pass this along to all users of all labs in Elings Hall.

Dates: May 17, 2018 to May 22, 2018
 
Time:  7AM to 4PM intermittently
 
Reason:  Preventive maintenance for mechanical and electrical equipment 
 
PLEASE MAKE SURE ALL OCCUPANTS ARE NOTIFIED NOT TO USE FUMEHOOD/GAS CABINETS DURING OUTAGES AFFECTING THEIR AREAS.
 
THE ATTACHED NOTICE SHOULD BE POSTED IN AFFECTED AREAS OF THE BUILDING-ON A WALL ADJACENT TO THE LAB DOOR, OR PREFERABLY, ON EACH AFFECTED FUMEHOOD.

Thursday May 17, 2018
Supply and Exhaust fans for the First and Second floors of the South wing will be off from 8AM to 12 noon.

Friday May 18, 2018
Supply and Exhaust fans for all floors of the North wing will be off from 8AM to 12 noon.

Monday May 21, 2018
The exhaust fan serving ALL non-fume hood equipment on ALL floors will be off from 7:30 to 9:00am.
 
Supply and Exhaust fans for the third floor will be off from 8:00AM to 3:00PM.

Tuesday May 22, 2018
House Vacuum system will be off from 10AM to 12 noon. This system serves all labs on all floors.
 
Emergency generator will be tested from 7AM to 8AM.
Generator test will affect emergency circuits only, Emergency circuits will lose power briefly during the test - less than one minute while switching to the generator, and similarly when switching back approximately 1 minute later.
