The CS department is looking for some students (grad and undergrad) to help with our UCSB Give Day campaign (http://giveday.ucsb.edu) by making a short (10 to 20 second) video saying who you are and thanking people (potential donors) for supporting the department – e.g., making it possible for you to get a great education here.
 
If you’re up for doing this (it doesn’t take long), please email or share the video with Prof. William Wang (william at cs.ucsb.edu <mailto:william at cs.ucsb.edu> ).

I'd like to draw your attention to the annual UCSB GiveDay that will happen 04/12.
http://giveday.ucsb.edu/ It's super important to the future of CS, because if we want a new building, then we should let our alumni know that we are doing great things here at UCSB CS! http://giveday.ucsb.edu/
 
So, for the CS social media campaign, I'd like you to send me 10 to 20-second short video clips that you've taken with your cell phone: Just a simple shoutout about your message (e.g., "My name is William, and I'm an assistant professor in CS working on NLP! We are super excited about the data science initiatives at UCSB! Thanks for supporting us.") would be fine!
