If any of you are potentially interested in possibly developing a research project with a high school student (in New York, I believe) related to Virtual Reality, please see the email below. If you’d like to follow up, please contact the student directly.
Thanks,
Matthew

Subject: Research Question
Dear Dr. Turk
Good morning. My name is Mike Yan and I am a sophomore in science research class from Trinity-Pawling School. I am interested in virtual reality and want to develop a project in this field. I have educated myself by reading some related journals. Some topics I have read include: tele-immersion, effect of head-tracking system on 3D design, methods to ease cyber sickness, and methods to create better immersive VR devices. I found and read your paper "Evaluating Snapping-to-Photos Virtual Travel Interfaces for 3D Reconstructed Visual Reality" which demonstrated a new method to navigate through a virtual, 3D reconstructed scene. I find your research fascinating. Can we discuss the possibility to develop a project with you?
Bests,
Mike Yan
