Subject: Internship opportunities in San Francisco and Tel Aviv at Nexar
Dear Colleagues,
Please forward to your vision students. Thanks, Trevor
----
<https://www.getnexar.com/> Nexar is seeking research interns for summer (and possibly fall) 2018, to be based in San Francisco and/or Tel Aviv. Nexar is building the first open vehicle-to-vehicle network in the world to provide real-time alerts and prevent accidents by leveraging smartphones’ cameras and sensors via a mobile app. Applying deep learning and artificial intelligence technologies over millions of crowdsourced road miles, Nexar creates a safer driving experience and provides data products for the automotive industry.
Research Interns will work on challenging projects in computer vision and machine learning relevant to autonomous driving and intelligent transportation. Summer projects are expected to lead to publications, and also have product impact within Nexar. The scope and scale of projects will be determined in part by applicant's interest and experience. Compensation will be commensurate with experience, and competitive with other leading industrial internship positions.
The San Francisco team is led by Prof. Trevor Darrell, who will co-supervise a team of two or three interns. San Francisco-based interns will also visit Nexar for one to two weeks during the summer. Tel-Aviv based interns will be supervised by Nexar research staff, with oversight from Prof. Darrell and they will visit San Francisco for two to three weeks for research collaboration meetings.
To apply, send your cv to <mailto:nexar.researchinterns at applynow.io> nexar.researchinterns at applynow.io
We are looking forward to hearing from you!
