For everyone in the HFH 5th floor lab: Please make sure that your computers are registered with ECI for wired access. See the ECI Support email below.

Thanks,
	Matthew

Subject: Registering Computers on the 46 subnet

Dear All,

As you are aware there is a small guest pool on the 46 subnet for short term wired use. Devices on the network for more than a few days should be registered with ECI as per UC policy requiring all devices on the network to be traceable back to a single user.
When the guest pool gets full, new devices will not get network access.

I did a quick walk through of HFH 5112 and 5120 noticed 15 unlabeled devices new since the beginning of the quarter. Since there are 6 professors between these two suites of rooms, the easiest way to register everyone is probably for students to find their computer on a list of unregistered computers and for me to then register said computers. We have instructions on how to find a mac address in our knowledge base
https://doc.engr.ucsb.edu/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=3342404

Below is a list of all unregistered computers on the 46 subnet for both rooms, based on network scans, that can be shared to all your students

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11h_igpEU0WA7x8EwLXkVCkrRnXi_Ukqogp-R4ukYs4k/edit?usp=sharing

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
