A couple of Education PhD students (Jim Gribble and David Sanosa) are developing a coding platform for kids in VR, similar to Scratch. They’re looking for developers who would be interested in joining them. Here’s brief description:
We are in the very early days of developing an environment where children can learn how to use block-based code inside Virtual Reality (HTC Vive) based on Scratch. Right now we just have a sea turtle kids can have move and turn different degrees. We hope to add more blocks (speaking blocks for example) as well as more characters and backdrops and could use some help from another developer. Here is a link to our pitch video explaining everything about the project: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwYh3QxgibQ <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwYh3QxgibQ&t=2s> &t=2s. David is doing the programming in Unity.
If you or someone you know might be interested, contact David at dsanosa at gmail.com <mailto:dsanosa at gmail.com> .
