Subject: 2 faculty positions available in HCI and UX / interaction design at
The University of Maine

Hello Matthew,

Not sure if you remember me but I did my postdoc at UCSB with Jack Loomis
and met you a couple times.

Either way, these jobs are late in getting out but if you could help by
distributing this announcement to any top doctoral students, postdocs, or
early stage researchers / colleagues that you know who are looking for a
tenure-track position in HCI / UX / interactive design, I would sincerely
appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,

Nicholas

The University of Maine's School of Computing and Information Science has
two full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor positions open for a Fall
2017 start. The positions are part of the School's Spatial Informatics
program and our New Media program and are in the areas of HCI/spatial
informatics and UX/interaction design (see attach job announcement). The
positions were late in being approved but represent very competitive
packages for highly creative, collaborative, and motivated early-stage
researchers. The School is an innovative academic unit incorporating
multiple collaborative programs and has been designated as a Center of
Academic Excellence in Geospatial Sciences by the National Geospatial
Intelligence Agency and the US Geological Survey.

Our review process will continue until filled with the candidates who best
fit the positions. Please read the attached ad for details on these two
jobs. You can also check out the following website for more information or
to apply.
