A colleague is consulting for a company looking for PhD (maybe MS) grads to hire to work on vision for human-robot interaction. If you’re interested, or if you know someone who might be, contact Henrik Christensen (contact info below).

I am right now doing some consulting for a company that is designing a “companion” robot and as part of this an essential part of using vision for the HCI part of the system. It will be a mixture of speech and vision. I was wondering if you have any students about to graduate that may want to enter industry to do research/development of such technology. The company is foreign but has research labs in the valley and in Boston.
The company is primarily looking for Ph.D. candidates, but might as a backup consider a really strong M.Sc. They have to be system builders. If they send me CVs I will forward to HR.
