Hey Matthew,

 

I hope you and the lab are doing well!  A few months ago I started working as a data scientist at Ticketmaster and it's been a lot of fun. I've learned a bunch of new techniques for data analysis and machine learning, and I've worked with a bunch of big data technologies like Storm, Kafka, Hive, Elasticsearch, etc.

 

I wanted to let you know that we have data science internships available for 2017. There is a significant data science presence at Ticketmaster and many projects going on.  Generally, interns will be doing a mixture of modeling and programming. Right now, some possible intern projects include working with recommender systems and social media analysis, but there will likely be others as we get closer to summer.
