If there’s any work in the lab related to spatial information (maybe all of the lab’s work??), consider presenting a poster at the Center for Spatial Studies event on June 2nd. The CFP is attached.

Subject: Upcoming Poster Exhibit, 6/2/2016
Greetings,
As we prepare for the Center for Spatial Studies' annual poster and plenary session, I'd like to ask you to encourage your students to submit posters or demos of applications of their research on spatial analysis.
Although our topic this year is Spatial Information for Human Health, we welcome posters on any topic related to spatial studies.
The event will include a detailed presentation of a new LiDar acquisition project (part of the CIRGIS general meeting), the poster exhibit, a plenary session [with presentations by David Kerr (Sansum Diabetes Center) and Aaron Blackwell (UCSB Anthropology Dept.)], and lunch. You and your students are welcome to attend all or any part of it.
I am attaching our call for posters to this message. Please re-distribute it to students and colleagues that may be interested in participating.
Students who are participating, must RSVP to me before May 15 to reserve a poster board (kdoehner at spatial.ucsb.edu).
Invitations with the agenda and more details will be forthcoming. But for now, please save the date for Thursday, June 2.
my best,
Karen
