 Hi Tobias, Matt ,and John:

I am hoping that the 4 eyes lab will be able to present some posters and/or
demos at the spatial local event in Corwin Pavilion on June 2nd.
This year the focus of the plenary session is on spatial search and the
speakers will be Pete Pirolli from PARC and Jano but posters on anything
related to spatial thinking, computing or analysis are invited. Matt: I
remember that at an event at Spatial in Fall you did not seem to know that
we had an annual poster session. Well this is it and we are hoping that it
will be representative of research across the disciplines at UCSB, so I
hope some of the members of your lab will be able to participate.

Cheers,
Mary

 Greetings,

Attached, please find a call for poster submissions for the Center for
Spatial Studies’ annual exhibit of work in spatial studies, to be held
on Tuesday,
June 2 at Corwin Pavilion. The theme of this year’s spatial at ucsb.local2015 is
“Spatial Search.”

This is an ideal opportunity for academics and professionals in science,
social science, engineering, and humanities programs to showcase how
spatial thinking facilitates research and creativity to the campus
community and to a professional audience from the Santa Barbara region.

Despite our theme, we welcome posters that display

your applications of spatial analysis

*on any topic*.

RSVPs to reserve a space and participate in this poster exhibit

must be directed to:

kdoehner at spatial.ucsb.edu

*before May 15*

Posters must fit on a 4 x 6 ft. poster board. Poster boards and tacks for
hanging posters will be provided. *Computer demonstrations* of your work
are also encouraged; please indicate your need for a table if you plan to
present a demonstration instead of or in addition to a poster.

When you RSVP, please list the names of your collaborators (if any) and
clarify which of you is to be the contact person. Lunch will be offered for
this event, so please be sure to confirm how many of your collaborators
will be there for lunch.

An agenda and further details about the plenary session will be sent out
by mid-May and will be posted at http://spatial.ucsb.edu/local, where you
can also view previous years’ posters and plenary presentations.

We look forward to your submission of posters and demos and to your
participation in this stimulating annual campus-wide and regional
celebration of spatial thinking.

Please feel free to re-distribute this call for posters among students,
colleagues, and co-workers.

 my best,

Karen
