Hi everyone,
Here is brief tutorial on how to add items to the ilab website (especially
articles!)
The admin interface is reachable at https://ilab.cs.ucsb.edu/administrator/
You should all have a login. (If you don't, let me know!)
How to ...
1. ...add a new publication or modify an existing one:
- in the menu "Components", click on "JBibliography"
- click on "New" (top right) or, to edit existing, just click on the title
of the respective item (note that you can filter by name or title at the
top).
- enter at least the first four fields (Authors, Title, Date [yyyy-mm-dd],
Venue). Include bibtex, link to PDF, link to website, if possible. (It'll
help people to find and cite your work!)
Author names should be a comma-separated list of full names and (for lab
members) exactly match the listed profile names, then they will be linked.
- click "Save" (top right)
2. ...add an announcement/item for news feed:
- from the main panel, click on "Add New Article"
- set "Section" to "News".
- Fill in title and the content
- click "Save"
3. ...add a "Research project":
- same as announcement/item, only that you set the "Section" to "Research
projects" and select the desired category.
4. ...modify existing article (announcement or research project):
- click on "Article Manager", then click on the respective article. Note
the "Filter" box at the top which will help you find an article much
quicker.
Thanks,
**This is a remix from Steffen's tutorial!
