Please let me know if you do not have an extinguisher in your lab. I will
let Paul know who needs one.
I will also arrange for the Fire Marshall to come to the department to do
training on how to use the extinguisher for anyone who is interested.

Greetings,
We had a fire in a microwave on 5th floor at approx 3:50pm. The smoke
from the fire set off the duct detectors in the air-conditioning system
which set off the fire alarm. The fire department came and verified the
fire was out and ventilated the building.
Please be careful when cooking food, you should never leave the
microwave unattended while it is running. You should also make sure your
lab has a fire extinguisher. If you do not please let me know and we
will provide one in the lab.
Thanks,
Paul
