The Google PhD Fellowship is extremely competitive, and there is usually
only one (ONE!) North American fellowship awarded each year in the
specialization of Computer Graphics, which makes Yun's success all the more
remarkable. She is also the first ever UCSB student to win the fellowship
since the program began in 2009.
