Build Smarter Applications with Machine Learning


Facebook auto-tag. Pandora song recommendations. Email spam filters. Machine Learning is everywhere in business, government, and our daily lives.

Come listen to Alex Tellez, Applications and Community Hacker at H2O.ai, explain how to take large data sets and turn them into practical applications. Alex has built several of these applications himself, ranging from predicting arrest rates in Chicago to a wine recommendation engine. He will also introduce H2O.ai's (data) Science Fair- an opportunity for college students to create their own applications and present them in front of hundreds of data scientists and decision makers in Silicon Valley at the H2O World conference.

This is a great opportunity for students who are interested in big data and Silicon Valley startups to learn more about how to get started in this field and find solutions to real-world problems.

Alex Tellez is an Applications and Community Hacker at H2O.ai. He is a graduate of Brown University and holds an MBA from the Owen School of Management at Vanderbilt University. He is an avid cyclist and a fan of fancy whisky.
