And if anyone wants to try it out, I have a FLIR ONE, currently on loan to Mohit (so you’ll have to arm-wrestle him for it). iPhone 5/5S not included.

Sounds like it should be easy & cheap to do research in the IR spectrum domain now for iPhone 5/5s (see below)... this might be interesting for mobile AR research.

Dear Benjamin,
Thank you for your interest in becoming an app developer for FLIR ONE. I’m excited to inform you that we’re releasing the FLIR ONE SDK for iOS, and it’s now available for you to download from the FLIR ONE Developer site <http://cvs.flir.com/e/6132/flirone-developer/ymx16/582254459> . Licensed SDK users will have exclusive access to the FLIR ONE SDK itself, the developers guide, sample code, and technical support. The SDK will enable you to capture and utilize both thermal and visible output from FLIR ONE—including images and video streams—and use them in your applications.
I’d also like to let you know about an exciting event we’re hosting in the very near future to kick start development of FLIR ONE apps for the iPhone 5/5s. We’re hosting a FLIR ONE developer and hacker party <http://cvs.flir.com/e/6132/cker-party-tickets-14596401229/ymx18/582254459> at HackerDojo <http://cvs.flir.com/e/6132/2014-12-05/ymx1d/582254459> in Mountain View, CA from Friday, December 12th through Sunday, December 14th, and you’re invited to participate. There’s no charge to participate in the event, so if you’d like to learn more and register to participate check out the event page <http://cvs.flir.com/e/6132/cker-party-tickets-14596401229/ymx18/582254459> . We’re planning more exciting events for the developer community over the next 6 months, please keep an eye on the “upcoming events” tab on the FLIR ONE developer site for more information.
Thanks again for your interest in the FLIR ONE, and good luck with your development efforts!
