[4eyes] Mobileye IPO

FYI:

 

Amnon Shashua is a professor at Hebrew University and a fellow grad student
of mine at MIT. He started a company called Mobileye Vision Technologies
(http://www.mobileye.com/) that went public yesterday, I believe, on the
NYSE. Its value after the first day - almost $8B. (Yes, "Billion.")

 

To quote from a news item: "Mobileye makes the camera systems and develops
software and other technologies for advanced driver assistance systems
(ADAS). These are the technologies that make driverless - sometimes called
autonomous - cars and trucks possible. It is pretty safe to say that this
revolution is one of the forces that will drive the auto industry for the
next decade or so, and Mobileye is leading the charge."

The lesson here is be very nice to your classmates. You never know which
ones are going to be billionaires.
