Title: Enhanced Control of Depth of Field by Multiple Focal Distances
Abstract:
This project provides an approach to recompose a picture by replacing
part of its depth of field with another frame focused at different
depths. At present, most mobile embedded cameras have either a limited
aperture control or fixed apertures. Users cannot determine the
refractions on the final results of their photos because of this.
However, cameras with large aperture control achieve higher image
quality and capture the details at a specific depth. Nonetheless, these
cameras do not have control of multiple focal depths due to the physical
constraints on the lens. This work introduces a multiple focal distances
technique using a set of images that implemented on an Android tablet
with the programmable camera control. Also, the application provides
three methods: focus, blur and manual adjustment, to edit image in a
user-friendly interface to produce a variety of special effects to
achieve the above goals.
Everyone welcome.
