To All Elings Hall Occupants & Users,
Over the last couple of months a project has been underway that makes
changes to the fire detection system. The installation phase is now
complete and we are ready for testing. Due to the extensive nature of
the work there will be numerous alarms going off over a two day period.
Actual horn and strobe activation will be limited to the morning from
7a.m. to 10 a.m. on Monday the 28th. Testing should be completed by
Tuesday the 29th at 5pm. *Evacuation of the building is NOT necessary*,
but the intermittent blaring audible noise the first few hours may make
you want to take care of that across campus task you've been putting off.

In case of a real emergency, the deputy DSRs assigned to each floor and
myself will physically go through the building to get people out. Thank
you in advance for your patience, understanding and cooperation while we
complete this important work. If you have any questions please let me know.
