An interesting summer internship opportunity - if you're still available
this summer, perhaps you should consider this.

Subject: Interns for Multimodal Pointing

Matt, I'm helping some colleagues at MSR with a summer project on multimodal
pointing. I'm not sure what all will be included, but some combination of
eye gaze, finger pointing, and attention. I think this is all for
greater-than-arms-length displays.

I talked to Ivana Andjelkovic earlier today and she has good skills. But
mostly on the experiment and design side of things, not so much on the
computer vision.

Do you have somebody who might know more about the computer vision and
modeling side of things?

I'm not sure how the team is going to be constituted. There are several
different intern slots, all directed at the bigger goal: how can eyes,
fingers and speech be used to control a device naturally from a distance.

Any recommendations?

And you should come visit! Our group has moved into the MSR building in
Silicon Valley. Hurray.

- Malcolm
