The iOS Map Display team is looking to hire for FULL-TIME POSITIONS and
INTERNSHIPS for our team. Our team is responsible for displaying map content
for the Maps application on iOS. It is used by millions of customers and
it's the best map rendering program on any mobile platform. Our team is also
responsible for map display via MapKit, the iOS framework that displays maps
used by countless applications on the App Store. The iPhone, iPad and iPod
touch have revolutionized the mobile industry and have changed people's
lives. We want to continue to do so. We are taking Maps and our other
location technologies to the next level with vector-based Apple Maps,
turn-by-turn navigation, and 3D. We've only just started!

As an engineer on the Map Display team, your responsibilities will include
implementing real-time rendering techniques, creating new and innovative
features, solving challenging algorithmic problems and fixing problems. You
will work closely with the other engineers on the iOS Maps team and other
teams at Apple.

As an intern, you will be working with an Apple engineer on a 3-month Map
Display project that will result in a presentation and real-time demo to the
managerial team. At the same time, you will learn about Apple culture and
what makes Apple Apple!

Required:
- Strong object-oriented programming and design skills.
- Passion for product quality and attention to details.
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
- Knowledge of OpenGL ES, programmable pipeline
- Knowledge of linear algebra
- Knowledge of real-time rendering techniques

  Additional success factors:
- Ph.D. or Masters in Computer Graphics
- Knowledge of Objective-C, C , or C++.
- Experience with the iOS SDK and Cocoa programming.
- Familiarity with and a passion for location-based technologies and mobile
- Experience developing scalable algorithms for processing massive amounts
of data
- A special affinity for teapots and bunnies
