Computer Vision Internship at Honda Research Institute in Mountain View 

AREA: 
Real-time object detection and recognition for driver assistance systems 

LAB: 
The Honda Research Institute USA is at the cutting edge of Honda's research
and development activities. 
Inspired by Honda's global slogan--The Power of Dreams--we pursue emerging
technologies in the fields of computer vision, robotics, and AI. 

POSITION DETAILS: 
The intern will be a part of the team working on a real-time driver
assistant system that locates and recognizes objects in video and laser
range data recorded from a moving vehicle. 
Specifically, he/she will be working on data fusion algorithms and methods
for detecting occluded objects using context information. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 
Required: 
- Currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program 
- Must have research background in computer vision 
- Excellent C++ skills 
Desirable: 
- Experience in CUDA, 
- Experience with developing real-time systems 
- Machine learning background 

DURATION: 
3 months with possibility of extension
