I'll send you the contact information of the UCSB lawyers that discussed
this specifically. (I have their info somewhere in my email!) It was a talk
given for the technology management program. It seems UCSB has tried to
use this dataset in the past, and there was a discussion with Yahoo Labs
team (not sure through who), but no luck working out an agreement
(understandably)
I think you could also contact directly the CS department's legal team and
ask them about the restrictions.
