Subject: [faculty] Looking for dedicated Computer Vision to be funded with a
NSF Information Systems position

Dear Colleagues,

Y-Y Fan joined the NSF funded swarm robotic camera team this winter
consisting of Danny Bazo and Marco Pinter contributing computer vision work.
He now has received a fellowship from graduate division, and will move
forwards on his dissertation proposal then to advance his PhD. I am
therefore looking to replace him with a skilled computer vision person who
will work with this team.

The project consists of developing a multi-purpose platform where 3
mobile/moving videostreaming cameras are sending instructions to each other
to generate emergent behaviors as to what and how to look at something.

The GSR can be at 25% or 49%, 10 or 20 hours a week with funding available
for the spring, summer, and possibly fall. Spring will be a try-out. I am
told my deadline is this coming week to assign the spring funding but this
may be just pressure from the administration. Please let me know if you can
recommend someone.
