Take a look at this description of a new Technical Briefs section of 
SIGGRAPH Asia below. Submissions are very soon (Monday), but it's a good 
fit for Four Eyes Lab research, so think about if you have something to 
submit.

SIGGRAPH Asia 2012 is calling for submissions to its inaugural program, 
Technical Briefs (Short Papers).  Each paper is 4 page long, and is a 
real publication, included in the ACM Digital Library. This new program 
focuses on the intersection of computer vision and image processing with 
computer graphics, and will be a dynamic forum for innovative and 
thought-provoking ideas.  All accepted work is an oral presentation at 
the conference.  The submission deadline is 20 August, 23:59 UTC/GMT.
Technical Briefs welcomes submissions spanning a myriad of research 
areas, including:

  * Sensor-based human-computer interaction
  * Graphics and human-computer interface
  * High dynamic range imaging
  * High-definition imaging
  * 3D imaging
  * Image processing for graphics
  * High dynamic range and high definition video
  * 3D video
  * 3D audio
  * Mixed reality
  * Augment reality
  * Virtual reality
  * Graphics and multimedia

The 5^th  ACM SIGGRAPH Conference and Exhibition on Computer Graphics 
and Interactive Techniques in Asia will take place in Singapore at the 
Singapore EXPO from 28 November – 1 December 2012. The conference 
programs are: Art Gallery, Computer Animation Festival, Courses, 
Emerging Technologies, Posters, Symposium on Apps, Technical Briefs, and 
Technical Papers.
