Welcome to UCSB.
I think a good source to look for housing in the US is craigslist
http://santabarbara.craigslist.org/search/roo?query=ucsb&srchType=A&minAsk=&maxAsk=.
You can select if you are looking for an apartment for yourself or
room
sharing. Depends on your preferences. Just make sure you are close to
campus.
