I just hope Sen. Tom Coburn doesn't see these projects!

Subject: [4eyes] Nokia Research paper "Communication Technology for
Human-Dog Interaction"

Folks,

Think auto-blogging is Out There? Think again. "Communication Technology
for Human-Dog Interaction: Exploration of Dog Owners' Experiences and
Expectations", http://research.nokia.com/publication/11941, is so completely
outside the box: one of the concepts they talk about is an auto-blog by your
dog, "Dog Blog", illustrated below. If that isn't Out There enough for you,
the paper cites an earlier project (at National University of Signapore)
involving ".a two-way tangible interface where a human can remotely touch a
chicken wearing a special jacket by patting a chicken doll" (see second
figure, below).
