Hi,

At the grad division meeting this morning we learned of more websites
that are very helpful for parsing the NRC data:

http://www.phds.org : allows searching by field and choosing or
weighting priorities. This is likely the site that prospective PhD
students will use.

http://chronicle.com/page/NRC-Rankings/321 : uses S-rank. Users
choose broad field and specific program. Results include a bar graph
representation on a number of different criteria. Move your cursor
over the bars to provide contrasts with other institutions. Once you
understand all the things this site can do, you'll see its pretty
powerful.

http://testsvr1.kpi.cornell.edu/views/NationalResearchCouncilReports2/StatsbyFieldPOST
: displays R, S, research, student outcome, and diversity rank
ranges. Can sort on any rank and do comparisons, including drilling
down to actual data.

Happy sorting,
Elizabeth
