[4eyes] Prospective student visit

Folks,

 

A week from today (next Thursday), a prospective CS PhD student from the
University of Toronto, Alex Karpenko, will visit. His main interest is in
the Four Eyes Lab, and I'd like to treat this as an opportunity to "sell"
UCSB, CS, and the lab. Alex is a stellar undergrad at Toronto, and he has
been admitted to several top-notch schools, so we face tough competition for
him. But we have a lot to offer, so let's see if we can convince him that
UCSB is a good fit.

 

Please let me know if you're available to meet with him and perhaps show a
demo on Thursday afternoon (March 18) between 3-4pm or so. (Greta may also
be asking people to take him to lunch, I'm not sure.)
