UCSB is hosting an Innovation Showcase on Friday, October 23, to exhibit key
work at UCSB to the university's trustees, donors, alumni, and friends. I
think maybe we've been involved in this before, but I'm not sure. This year,
there is a special focus on digital media, so there will be fewer exhibits
(and thus more attention to those exhibits). We've been asked to partner
with Media Arts and Technology in a space showing off relevant work on the
Allosphere, MAT, and the Four Eyes Lab.
The event will be held 5:30-7:30pm in the Rec Center Pavilion Gym.
This is an opportunity to help UCSB and also to possibly make some good
contacts for yourself. And, like all such events, to help the lab and to
polish your presentation/exhibition skills. Is anyone available and
interested in presenting your (and/or the lab's) work at this event? It
could be as simple as taking a laptop and showing and discussing videos, or
if the logistics weren't too bad, you could take a larger monitor or a live
demo setup.
Please let me know if you're available.
Thanks,
Matthew
